Become a Polymath.

I got tired of five apps that never talked to each other, so I built the one that does — every skill, one XP system, one loop.

The fix

One app that talks to everyone.

Notion for notes. A habit app for streaks. GitHub for code. A spreadsheet for money. A language app, ignored for six days straight. Five logins, five scoreboards, and none of them ever talk to each other. That's not a discipline problem — it's an infrastructure problem. Working memory holds about 4–7 things at once, so five disconnected systems were always going to collapse. I built the one system for people trying to grow in more than one direction at once — because I needed it too.

Not a tracker. A loop.

Learn → Quiz → Earn XP → Level up. Try it.

Quick check

Nice. You closed the loop.

What it does

Four things. One loop.

I built this to replace your scattered Notion pages, half-watched courses, and abandoned Anki decks with a single system that actually closes the loop.

01 / Create

Build your own curriculum.

Add any skill you want to master — coding, languages, music, finance, anything. Define milestones, set the depth, choose your pace. It shapes itself to what you want to learn, not the other way around.

Quantum computing
02 / Learn
< 5 min
per lesson, no fluff

No fluff, ever.

No 4-hour YouTube rabbit holes. No 600-page textbooks. Just the next concept, delivered cleanly.

03 / Test

Prove you actually learned it.

Which data structure gives you O(1) lookups on average?

Every lesson ends with a quiz. Spaced repetition surfaces what you're forgetting before you forget it. Reading something isn't the same as knowing it — I make you earn the checkmark.

04 / Level up

Watch yourself get sharper.

Every correct answer earns XP. Every skill has levels.

Built and live

Miss a day without losing everything.

Break your streak and it resets — that's the point, quitting should cost you something. But some days you genuinely can't show up. Freeze a streak for a small one-time fee and your XP and rank stay exactly where you left them.

Why this works

I didn't invent the mechanic.

Gamified learning is one of the more studied ideas in education research. I'm just the one applying it across every skill at once instead of one course at a time.

g = 0.49
Effect of gamification on cognitive learning outcomes, meta-analysis of 1,686 learners
Sailer & Homner, Educational Psychology Review (2020) →
g = 0.82
Effect on student learning outcomes, meta-analysis of 41 studies, 5,071+ participants
Frontiers in Psychology (2023) →

Almost nobody is building this for someone trying to grow in more than one direction at once. That's the gap I'm filling.

Stuff people ask me
Nope. There's coding and AI stuff, sure, but also roadmaps for chess, writing, fitness, money, languages, whatever. If it's a skill you can practice and get better at, it fits. The XP works the same no matter what you pick.
Those each do one thing. Duolingo is languages, Coursera is courses. Polymath OS sits on top of everything you're working on at once, so your gym streak, your coding progress and your reading all land on the same screen and feed the same rank. It's less "a course" and more the place you check to see if you actually moved this week.
Full launch is September 1, 2026. The app is free. There'll be an optional Pro tier later for extra stuff, but you'll never need to pay to actually use it. Get on the waitlist and you'll be first in.
Yeah, the beta's already up at web.polymathos.xyz. Fair warning: it's rough in places and I'm changing things constantly, so you'll hit bugs. If you're in early you're basically helping me shape it, and I'll hook you up with founding-member perks at launch.
Why I'm building this

Built for people who
refuse to specialize.

Most apps assume you're only working on one thing. I wasn't, and I doubt you are either. Polymath OS is for the people juggling a few skills at once who want one place that actually keeps track of all of it.

01
I finished courses and remembered nothing
I'd grind through a tutorial, get the little completion screen, and a month later I couldn't have rebuilt any of it. The certificate meant nothing because I never actually used the thing. I wanted progress tied to what I do, not what I watch.
02
Everyone kept telling me to pick one thing
I want to code and lift and learn how money works and get less awkward on camera. The standard advice is "pick a lane." I don't buy it. The people I look up to are good at a bunch of things at once, so I built for that instead.
03
My progress was scattered across five apps
Notion for habits, a notes app for coding, my phone's health app for the gym, a doc for books. Nothing talked to each other, so I never had one honest picture of whether I was actually improving. Polymath OS is me forcing all of it into one screen.
04
Streaks I could break for free meant nothing
If quitting costs you nothing, you quit. I know because I did, constantly. So here a missed day actually stings: your streak dies, you lose XP, and your rank on the leaderboard slips where people can see it.

@mdshaz_

18, mostly building this at night around my AI/ML work.

Here's the honest version: I kept starting things and dropping them. Coding, the gym, learning to invest, getting less terrible at talking to people. Motivation was never the problem. Nothing kept score across all of it at the same time, so it always felt like I was standing still. So I made the thing I actually wanted to use, one tracker that holds every skill and makes quitting cost you something.
